I also don’t like the thought of having no control that runs on my site. Can you run Adsense on a new blog? Or do you have to wait six months to get approve? What would you recommend as an alternative for Adsense? Thank you for the helpful post. Cheers!

I think adsense is definitely worth if it is optimized properly. And of course you will be an adequate amount of traffic as well.

I agree with the general sentiments of everyone here so far, in that it is useful to know your audience before you run AdSense. Sites where the average user may not necessarily be the most net-savvy are good places for AdSense. It is important to place the ads in good locations that don’t disturb the browsing experience of the visitor but yet are easy enough to get their attention. Of course, before all that, it should be a site that meets the requirements or it will never even be approved. Many people new to this don’t know that before they create a new site.
