@Codrut – I find hootsuite and tweetdeck to be on the same level of simplicity really. I haven’t been on tweetdeck for months though so maybe they improved things.

I am thinking of writing a blog post where I write about how I use and manage twitter friends so that will certainly feature hootsuite on the web and iphone

I used Hootsuite, but like Tweet Deck better for its simplicity… maybe you could showcase why should I start to use HS again, and probably I’ll get an iPhone too

I’ve been using Hootsuite since the start of my site, it’s fantastic and find it better than TweetDeck (I know that a lot of you will disagree though)

Good app for the iPhone although I use a N97 so won’t be using it, I will say though that it’s a must for iPhone users.

@ Gabe – True, I’ve noticed now that I work from home I haven’t found the use to use my mobile so much for twitter. Having said that when I’m out and about, waiting for a bus or waiting in line or something I will definitely find this handy. Love being able to do what I do on my desktop on the run

Hoot Suite is amazingly useful – and , yes, If I had an iPhone
( Christmas is coming!) I’d be quite happy to pay a little extra for it.

I love my iPhone and I also love my Twitter account (Twitter brings me more new visitors than any other source) but I’m not sure Hootsuite is for me.

Although it looks powerful, I really have no need to to manage my Twitter account when I’m away from my PC. It’s the same reason why I don’t have the WP app on my iPhone, when I’m not blogging, I’m doing other things that take priority.

Perhaps one day I’ll change my mind when I’m on the road more often.

@Derek – if you set your columns right you can flick across from your home feed to your replies to your direct messages, just like you could with Tweetdeck. You just have to make sure that the columns are sitting next to each other in the first place

@Ileane – the iPhone app has a trending topics section. I’m not sure if hootsuite on the web has it. I’ve never really gotten into trending topics on twitter really. But it’s certainly there on the iPhone app.

@31everything – It’s great isn’t it!
