@Don - Getting up earlier is something I really want to work on. Because I've just come from the 9-5 lifestyle my body is still getting up early which is good, but I feel I could get up even earlier! I'm thinking 4.30-5am when the sun comes up. I get through so much more work earlier on in the day than I do in the afternoon/night time.

I can't seem to function early in the morning when the sun isn't up. It's summer here in Australia and the sun is getting up earlier so now's a chance to get up early than normal. So I will start conditioning myself to get up earlier! Just set my alarm for 6 (was 7.20). Straight to bed for me now so I get 8 hours sleep still.

Thanks for the encouragement, Don - you're awesome. Glad you're enjoying the blog :)

To a productive day tomorrow and beyond!!

Hey Sarge, hey Mike!

I follow Mike on Twitter and in one of his tweets he talked about getting up an hour earlier in the morning to work on your blog. I'm writing this comment at 3:41 AM - so you can see I have little time to get up an hour earlier or I wouldn't be going to bed at all.

All I know that if blogging keeps me up and wanting more hours in the day to blog even more, then I must be on to something good!

I especially liked MIke's advice for new bloggers like myself. I've only launched my blog very recently (after months of researching how to make money online, etc.) and I already realize that I should have started earlier and that even now I shouldn't be concentrating so heavily on stats, and plugins and the mechanics of bloggin. I should be focusing on good content instead.

Well, I've started creating that content and now I already have an idea for a second blog! Stay tuned...it should have mass appeal!

Anyway, I guess I really should go to bed. (You see - I'm just always looking for the next big idea!)

Really enjoying your blog, Sarge. Keep up the good work. I should have a few good posts going out this week!

Cheers!

Totally agree with Krissy and Stephen. You really are a helpful and humble guy, Mike.

Seriously think you should give podcasting a go (if you haven't already), heard your interview with the German guy the other day (sorry, I can't remember his name) and thought you had a great voice for teaching/educational podcasting.

Wow! Thanks guys, those are very kind words. I know what you mean Krissy, I remember well when I first started out and felt that some of the established bloggers were pretty unapproachable. At the end of the day though, the only people that matter are the people in your blog's community, and for that reason I've promised myself that no matter how busy I get, I will always be available to chat, I'll always visit other people's blogs, and I'll always do those things personally.

Just visited Mike's blog and signed up for his community! He has a great blog. Thanks for this post about him. Gee, I have spoken to him briefly through Social Media, and am now very humbled, as he never revealed he was a professional blogger, and has even been to my blog to comment. This astounds me, as most probloggers say they don't have time to do this. And I'm not arguing whether they do or don't, it's just refreshing that Mike CJ has come by my blog, and that he has been helpful to me. What a regular guy! I also love how he focuses on writing and content, and not so much on SEO and jamming products down his reader's throats... Yet I'm sure he knows what he is doing in marketing, as he does have a couple of mailing lists on his blog. ;) But with his newsletter and community I'm sure he gives away a lot of tips and help. And an ebook! That's what I like about Mike, he is ultimately helpful and humble, and about good content, not hype!

I agree with your comments about MIke, he is very approachable and seems to really enjoy helping fellow bloggers out. I am about half way through one of Mike's Courses and it is helping me a great deal. If you haven't already visited www.mikeslife.org, do it now and sign up - it will be worth it!
